About Me:
I am a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, with over 20 years of experience supporting children, families and adults through life’s challenges and transitions.
Throughout my career I have worked extensively with children, adolescents and families within NHS Child and Family Services, schools, and private practice. I am passionate about helping young people to feel understood, supported and more confident in managing their emotions and relationships. This has led me to develop a special interest in early intervention and transition to parenthood.
Just like the weather, sometimes our emotional life is hard to predict. Life is full of transitions and inherent challenges, and I specialise in supporting individuals and families in navigating these with greater confidence, resilience and understanding.
Alongside my work with children and families, I also support adults within corporate and organisational settings. I work with individuals to manage stress, build resilience, navigate career transitions and achieve a sustainable work life balance. I have particular experience in supporting women’s emotional wellbeing at work, including managing the demands of leadership, returning to work after maternity leave, and balancing professional and family life.
Modern working life can be fast paced and highly pressured. Many people find themselves feeling overwhelmed or burnt out while continuing to function at a high level. I offer a confidential, reflective space to help clients regain perspective, develop practical strategies and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
I work as an Integrative Psychologist, drawing on a range of evidence based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic thinking, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing for trauma), Mindfulness and Systemic approaches. This allows me to tailor therapy to the unique needs and circumstances of each person I work with.
Research consistently shows that the most important factor in successful therapy is a positive and trusting therapeutic relationship. I therefore offer a free 15 minute introductory call so that we can talk through what you are looking for and explore whether it feels like we could work well together.
